Hello!
Well, the nurse has been on at me for ages to lose weight but just before Xmas, I got Covid and that lasted for 6 weeks. Then I spent 5 days in hospital with, what on the face of it, was a bowel issue but the consultants/surgeons decided it was angina starving the bowel of blood and I was prescribed daily aspirin. Although they said looking at my record, that should have been picked up around 20yrs ago and it’s in the family, so I was getting that anyway.
Between the week before Xmas and mid-Feb, I’d lost 24lbs. That wasn’t intentional. It floated back up 10lbs but then, when I was stable, I decided to ensure I was eating properly, checking against the Calorie Counter app. I’ve now lost 8lbs. I’ve still got 10lbs to my ideal weight.
However, now, I’m dizzy, tired and have chest pains all the time but both my blood oxygen and breathing are fine. I can get rid of all that though, if I stuff my face with food. Would that be a sign that my meds need decreasing?
I’ve got a phone appointment next Monday with the doctors own pharmacist to review, but the last few times that’s been arranged, they’ve never got in contact, just decided it was fine and closed the appointment. In hospital, the consultants were very curious about my meds and actually stopped giving me most of them while I was in there but they said the doctors don’t like them stepping on their toes, so they were going to leave it to my doctor.
