I have been tp1 for 18 yrs,not controled too well at times but want to know if it can effect me in trying for children as im now 35 also if there are anyways I can better my chances.my girlfriend pressures me I dnt feel confident
You've probably got a better chance if your sugars are well controlled. If you are worried, however, than see your doctor and ask if he can give you any other advice and/or making sure everything is ok. In the meantime, happy humping!
