Me again, anyone have any ideas what to do, just a starting point would do. Already losing vision, now getting balance problems, numb feet etc, only 41 and feel like death, can certain insulin disagree with you, I take 2 background of levimir and around 4 or so nova rapid a day. I see a specialist but have no clue about ratios how to set background etc I just don't know anymore, had sugars daily in 20s over last year alone. hba1c over 100. Dread to think what damage is being done just seem to be getting worse but trying to hold on as much as I can. Everything seems we'll try this or you need to meet the criteria, average glucose over last month 22. And the meter I have just gives different readings one said 30 odd and a minute later it's 16. I just don't know any more.

just a suggestion:- when you arrive at the clinic ask if the consultant is there and ask to see him / her. You may get some answers to your problems, I hope so.Hi everyone again, Iam at the clinic tomorrow at 10am having a look at eating less carbs, going to ask about that Dafne course see if I can do it again, as it was years ago last time I did it. What's made it difficult I've had a lot of ops etc on eye and been on a huge amount of drops for eye pressure including timilol, dexafree, monopost, iopidine, and take a tablet called diamox to reduce pressure in the eye. Was being seen regular by eye clinic, then due to COVID wasn't seen for a long time and sort of left, was seeing flashing lights had a detached retina etc but they kept sending me to ae, after a long while of kept going they eventually found out what was happening and now there trying there best to save vision in my right eye, but I am not totally sure how much is diabetic related, or the side effects of the stuff I take. IE today legs keep going weak, faint dizzyness all-sorts so can't do much so back on the settee again. Unsure if its all diabetes but checked the side effects on the drops etc and sound very familiar,Been on these meds for nearly a year now and I am sure along with the diabetic team the meds are having an impact so at the minute I am reluctant to keep changing insulin over, hopefully should come off some soon. But been saying that for months. Just finding it more difficult as well concentrating on what needs to be done, other things going off, marriage failed, 13 year old dogs at Vets tommorow as can hardly walk so not looking good, along with my diabetic appointment later in the day, at eye injection clinic Friday, not sure if need one in my good eye this time or not, trying to work out about basal and bolus and low carb food, pre bolus. Absorption rates, or if I've injected into a fatty lump or whatever they are. I've asked whoever is in charge of this so called game of life what he wants me to do but got no answer yet, so for now it's just attend appointments get dogs to the vets, try and eat a low carb dinners and try not to put the central heating on too much.
