TTC and type2

Is anyone else TTC and struggling? I have been trying for about 2.5yrs and I was diagnosed in April 2015 as type 2. I have been taking metformin and I am being referred to the perception clinic. I'm starting to feel like it will never happen for us but the doctor seems more positive about our situation.
