Good morning all my friends just another question I thought I would ask as you have all been so much help to me over the last few weeks since I was diagnosed with type 2,can I have some Turkey mince once a week,thank you:)

As you can see from the label, it has minimal Carbs.
Meat, fish, eggs, and cheese are all excellent foods for type 2 diabetics because they are filling, nutritious, slow release and only have a small impact on blood glucose.
Much better for you than bread, rice, crackers, potato and pasta which raise blood glucose much faster and may do long term damage leading to diabetic complications.

I have just made M shar67 some turkey burgers

Minced turkey500g
Any type of cheese grated 125g Mr s likes blue cheese
Seasoning, I used 1 crushed garlic clove and oregano
Mix mince, cheese and seasoning in a bowl, make into patties cook in oven for 15/20 miins

Have it every day if you like it - it ain't gonna hurt you that much - very low carbs fat could be a bit higher but what's not to like???

I have just discovered this in Tescos to day is it suitable or does it come under processed food.
