Two personal Messages

To the person who pm'd me last night and this morning, I am do not wish to correspond in any personal messaging with you. I do not want to appear to be rude or ill mannered and I do not want to know of any 'set to's' with another member or gloating.

Also, you took a quote of mine , this one:-

You also wrote this: "99.9% of the males, just look at the state our world, the present and past". You're not wrong, of course. But I believe that, rather than speaking of 'males', you'd do better to speak of 'masculinity'.

I will write what I want to and I will use the word males. I am not a student in school, getting marked for an assessment by a teacher!!!

Of course you can write whatever you want to.

But any aggression of any kind, whoever it comes from, is an an expression of masculinity - par excellence.

You're not excluded from that.
 
RRB - your post is aggressive, if you have no wish to engage in a PM you can refuse to respond, you can place the sender of the PM onto your foe list, or you can choose not to receive any PMs at all.
 
It is pretty obvious that RRB was upset by the messages she received. We do not have access to them and can only surmise the full content. I would think that her posting here was a last resort.
I have found RRB to be a caring, sharing poster and we can all tell her what we think on this matter as hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Mods could you add something explaining what to do in these situations?
 
I would be happy to make the messages I sent public. Or I could leave that to RRB.

And at the risk of further divisiveness, I would add to my last message (above) that I would count any divisiveness as an expression of masculinity too!

That exclamation mark was intended to be humourous.

But that attempt may well be wasted here.

Humour I would count as an expression of femininity. (I can't even spell it!)
 
Best just to do nothing. This will soon become an old forgotten post. Sometimes comments are made and guesswork from others as to the background of these comments is fruitless. Forums can be the most informative places but sometimes they can harbour ill feeling. The written word can often be interpreted in a totally different way to the writers intentions !

This has got out of hand, I wasn't being aggressive , you can see that by my words of not being rude or ill mannered and I did not mention the persons name.

It is possible to report a PM in the same way you report a post.
 
Totally agree with catherinecherub.

I'd like, if I may, to post the following thought I'd composed and posted in a few months ago.

I composed it after experiencing a *situation (in my private life) I had to deal
with and deal again with later.
(Unrelated to Diabetes.co.uk)

'It is human to err. ' Le Corbusier ( 1887 - 1965) and it would seem it was my mistake was to post this thread.

Willie, I like what you have written, we do see things so differently, I know.

Hopefully this will now end, without snowballing.

I am very sorry to have caused the upset in the first place.

Whether or not the issue of diabetes is directly involved in the upset I caused, I believe I have been tending (generally speaking) to underestimate how personal an issue it is for each and every diabetic (and for each and every parent of a young diabetic too). And I'm grateful to have to opportunity to acknowledge that here.
