Hi everyone, new member here . Like the title says I'm 25 , type 1 and been a diabetic since I was 8. I have never been the best diabetic but not the worst, I got my act together a bit more in my late teens. I never drink alcohol or do drugs but taking the right amount of insulin was an issue especially correction doses (I'm on carb count diet) and eating food like pizza and other takeaways on weekends. Whilst I have stopped all that , the last year I had several laser sessions to stop maculopathy in my right eye , I had a session last month , but booked an appointment last Friday with eye infirm as I noticed my sight in right eye getting blurry, mornings it be all blur and sometimes looking outside the window where it's bright i couldnt focus on anything it be blown out then later in the day things would settle when everything was just slightly out of focus , turns out I had a haemorrhage and have been given an eye injections and need 4 more. The doctor was hesitant about giving me them.at first cause he said "my vision was So good " even though I told him about the blurriness but he gave me the injections because if the swelling that has suddenly happened over a month despite blood sugars improving My blood sugars have improved a lot due to all the anxiety But I'm terrified this is beginning of the end and I'm going to go blind within months or years and not be able to do anything like cinema, photography , read , video games or drive . I guess I'm looking for other people's experience and some reassurance, since the injection though only 2 days I'd say the eye can focus a lot better and doesn't get blown out anymore though reading some small print can be still blurred and isn't as good in the dark as my good eye, it got me stressed to the point where im not doing videography , drawing or any if my hobbies . I keep closing my good eye and testing what is in foxusnwith my badneye all throughout the day and I also just got dumped by my first eve long term (3 year) gf after she cheated on me with a friend and moved in with him. So life seems it going very downhill fast and anxiety and stress is through the roof. My Hba1c is currently 86 and seems to have stayed around this number for several years Apologies for long post
