Do I do blood test 2h after food or 2h after I've checked levels before food
Please anyone so confused and it's my 1st day

Hello and welcome.
So sorry your little chappie has received the diagnosis.

Test 2 hours (g/t a little) after first eating, e.g. Fork into mouth 17:10hrs - test 19:10hrs (called post prandial.)

Hi @BB2014 , and welcome to the forum!
Do you mean you have a 5 year old child who has just been diagnosed with type 1?
Please ring your diabetes team with any questions you have. Do you have an out of hours number for them?

If this is your first day on your own with administering insulin to your child it's completely normal to feel a bit scared and out of your depth, and to ring for advice!

In the mean time, you can always test extra if you're not sure, must be a hard time for you!
