Along with all this often goes high blood pressure. The overproduction of insulin causes weight gain  and also does damage to the beta cells in the pancreas. Eventually the pancreas can burn out and stop producing insulin and then you have a T2 that is insulin dependent but probably still insulin resistant.Type 3c is caused from injury or illness to the pancreas.</blockquote>
