Kris Freeman, a cross country skier from the US is taking part in this Olympics.
As he stands a lot of chance of winning a medal than the Brits in this event, I'll be rooting for him.
Theres quite a ong article here about him, with a bit about his diet and training schedule.
Interestingly he tries to get to the start line with a BG level of 100mg/dl (5.5), much lower than many people start exercise at (he does use a pump) His typical training includes a couple of hours roller skiing followed by a 15-16 mile run!

A great achievment, but probably not the only diabetic competitor.
5 times olympic gold meddal winning rower, Sir Steven Redgrave, is also Type 1.
