Type of diabetes
Type 1
Hi all Been diabetic since 2003. Still trying to get my head round it Good days and bad days.
Its either all or nothing with me. Total focus and eat hardly anything at all nothing naughty.
Or its cant be bothered (to put it nicely) and eat everything I can get hold of and don't bother to test.
Ive had Type 1 diabetic tattoo'd on my wrist as I know it will never go away !! Nobody in my family has
got this condition, I was the chosen one so you just have to get on with it ... But I so hate it.
Be nice just to know there are other people out there who really know what it is like,
living with this day in day out, and knowing it will never end. Its not like a diet ,you can do it for a few months
then go back to normal eating , Enough moaning ... Hi everyone :):)

love it -- that is a statement - i was the chosen one in my family for many years ( till all my dads family sprouted and became T2's )

'I am the chosen one' sounds so much better than the standing joke in my family. I am fondly referred to as the 'runt of the litter' (but we do all have abit of a warped sense of humour!!):D So hi @tattoogirl, welcome!! :)Sue xx

well nice to meet another chosen one, yes its hard and bad days good days and the days you just want to munch your face off days are all hard, it will never go away but it can get better, Ive been type 1 for 43 years since I was 2 but now been told I ,may not be type 1 hahaha, no one likes being diabetic but we grow and just get on with it (so to speak)

Here you go. A few days in the life of a T1D. Sometimes things just get in the way of perfect control. Being Jose Mourinho can sometimes be tricky!

Hello and welcome! I thought 'the chosen one' was Luke Skywalker ("These are not the carbs you are looking for."), but never mind, wrong forum for that.

It reads to me like you need to find nicer food to eat, to be honest. Hardly eating anything at all isn't fun; eating everything you can get hold of - well, you know that's not good either.

Moan away, we get it.
