Hi. Confusing isn't it. Gliclazide works by stimulating the pancreas to produce more insulin. It can be useful if you are a slim 'T2' and possibly a late onset T1 (LADA). I went down a similar route. Do make sure you use a meter as you can go hypo with this drug if the dose is set too high. See how it goes. The two tablets and a low-carb diet may be all you need. If your blood sugar does continue to rise over the coming months, however, then suspect being T1 and ask for the tests for it.
