Not a doctor here so take whatever I say with a pinch of salt, but does it really matter? As you're in the UK I believe LADA gets treated as T1. LADA may develop more slowly than T1 but the end result is the same - you'll be insulin dependent and need to balance your carbs with your insulin.
As a T1 you'll be eligible for T1 technology such as cgms and (eventually, hopefully) a pump (should you want one).
It's a club that no one wants to join and I'm sorry about that, but treatment for T1s improves all the time so I'd argue that your future is bright, as long as you accept the need for insulin.
