Did you have any idea it would be so high or was it a complete shock? Have you been trying your best to keep your BGs at a reasonable level or have you been letting things slip? Hopefully your clinic has given you suggestions of what you should try. Have you been on a DAFNE course? There's always someone here to answer questions.

Was your previous result in range? What advice were you given? Do you see your diabetic specialist nurse on a regular basis? You can get this number down but you'll need to look at what's caused it to rise.

I hope the changes help. I know you said your BS was constantly high, but is there anything in particular that you're struggling with eg after meal spikes, Dawn Phenomenon, etc?
