Type 1: How many times do you have to test your blood sugar

i test around 5 times a day. If I'm driving it will be more regularly
 
I currently alternate with finger tests and the Libre. I do suffer with getting blood from some of my fingers though (average finger tests per day=7). Bad circulation in my fingers doesn't help either. Where else can be tested for blood?
 
I test about 8-10 times a day I also wear a cgm so get to see whats happening all the time.

Do your fingers always feel cold
 
Julia, yes I do suffer from cold hands (even when indoors!)
 
Latest advice seems to be such to a target range of 4 to 7 which effectively becomes 5 to 7 if driving. Can't imagine how I can come close to that without testing at least 8 times a day and more if driving.
 
wow I only test twice a day.
But my HbA1c is 5.1 so I must be doing something right?

Not since my diagnosis.
Due to have my test a few days after but I remember having blurred vision and extreme thirst. Also used to feel extremely hot all the time.
Never really returned to it since because of how annoying it was to cancel my test when I was most prepared.
