We have this tradition with a Type 1 D Facebook group, where we arrange agenda-free meetings, dinners, cottage trips, cruises etc, just to have an opportunity to meet other type 1 diabetics to talk to and have some good times.
The group is a Finnish one, and for now all of our activity has been happening within or nearby Finland. We come in all ages (18 to 60) and get along great
. We have both insulin pen users and pump users.
However, I have this little idea of us traveling as a group, maybe 10-20 people, to UK or Germany, if we could arrange a little get together with local type 1 people somewhere over there .
The meeting could be anything from a dinner to some local activity to an evening in the pub with you , just about anything we or you or both can imagine so that we can meet in a relaxed environment. We are not seeking for conferences to attend or anything formal like that.
This trip would take place somewhere between February and May of 2017, so there's still plenty of time to plan something .
Anyone interested eg in London, Berlin or any other city we can get easily with a nonstop flight from Helsinki?
