Type 1 & Pregnant!

Wow thanks so much for all the info and videos !!! I’m going to have a good look at it all ! Xxx

Hi @T1monty, how are you? I imagine you’ve been at work as we’ve not heard from you. Hope the tiredness hasn’t been laying you too low at the end of the day.
Hi @Fairygodmother !! I’m really good thank you. I have taken some advice from you guys and today for 24 hours I have had sugars under double figures! I’m so pleased! The low carb snacks in the evening are definitely helping and I’m actuallt finding I can reduce my background insulin as I’m going hypo quite a lot. I hope you are well? I’m exhausted and feel sick ALL the time !!! I just hope I don’t start actuallt being sick as I have heard this can really affect your blood sugars by lots of hypos and your hypo awareness! Xxx

People used to say that feeling sick was a sign that the baby was bedding in well
I was lucky, I didn’t get the sickness. My daughter did. For her, a couple of bites of dry toast seemed to help. She’s not T1, but ‘morning sickness’ knows no boundaries.
Reduced insulin needs in the first three months are also a usual occurrence and then it starts rising . . .
Hope you’re getting a sensor soon, and a bagful of jelly babies. And French toast if it’s tummy-settling.
Xx

Hi @T1monty, many congratulations, it's such an exciting time There can be up's and down's with pregnancy, trying to do everything right for the baby and also yourself. Level's can fluctuate, but try not to get too anxious ( difficult at times) and just take each day with small steps. You have had some helpful and supported posts from member's, which is half the battle. I had my baby at 42 yrs and she is now 17 !
Take good care and wishing you all the very best, X
ps I have just become a nana again, with a new granddaughter and my daughter had gestational diabetes.

Good morning!
Yes I find that dry toast helps and ginger biscuits! Jelly babies are great at bringing hypos up. I’m also coeliac so I have to have a gluten free diet ! Xx
