Greetings !
Im not a diabetic , but my future wife is diagnosed with type 1 since a year already , she had it after birth , anyway , a few weeks ago , she told me that her sugar levels stabilized for 2 days , the sugar level was fixed on the blue range of the sensor , the safe range , she told me its really weird , as it never happened ever before , i kept wondering why it happened , cuz she told me the sugar never fixes on a value , just low and high always , she said its because of me as i always try to cheer her up , to make her smile ,I really appreciate it from her , but i think its something eslse , i want to know if anyone out there had this coincidence before ? is it just a passing luck ? or something i need to know .
I appreciate your answers my friends , thank you .

Hi @ Ace Redford,
So I assume your wife is on insulin? And that during her pregnancy her insulin dose had to be adjusted, and that after baby was born your wife's dose of insulin was lowered ?
Most of us on site are not qualified to advise on medical matters and as such I have no definitive answer. All I can think of for your wife's situation is that the stress of pregnancy, birth etc is over and her diabetes has improved now that the stress is gone. Just a thought.
You say her blood sugars are up and down, ? before pregnancy ? Always ? Sounds like a need for her to have medical and nursing help to sort it ?

Getting stable blood sugars can be hard, but they are a good thing. It's not inconceivable that feeling happy may help stabilise them, as blood sugars can be affected by stress quite a lot.

Anyway, it's good news that she has managed it, even if only for a couple of days. it might be worth having a think about what she did during those days, that made her blood sugar so beautifully stable. To see if the unique circumstances can be replicated, even partially.
