She seems to think I should get it down to 6%.Bit of a shock for me really. I'd always considered something under 8% heading towards 7.5% as being as good as it could get whilst still 'having a decent life'.Needless to say. Reading this forum has been a real eye opener (with some of the low test results that most 'long termers' seem to have). Though at the same time I do wonder what kind of lives people with good control have. My best control was the year after being diagnosed . . I was 16-17 and I wasn't playing much sport then, just walking back from college (3km) and spending a lot of time in the house listening to rock/grunge music, writing long letters to all my pen-pals (yeah, I'm old, lol) and playing Sega Mega-Drive (Genesis for American readers). It seemed the more active I became the harder it was to keep the sugars in control. . . and it's been the same for over 20 years now, unfortunately (or fortunately in respect to the lifestyle).</blockquote>
