Type 1 York meet up?

Hi all, just wondering if a meet up group exists in York, or is not, if anyone fancies meeting up? I have been type 1 for 51 years and recently realised that I don't know anyone else with type 1! Slow learner! If you fancy it let me know and I will organise something.
 
Hi @smag3 , Type 1 based in Sheffield here! I created a similar thread recently, but I think people maybe just didn't see it. There doesn't seem to be much up North, and I don't really know any other T1s either, so it would be really great if something could be set up.
 
I am not really near enough to attend a York meeting -- but I think it is a great idea --

just adding a bump to try and keep the thread on page 1
 
Unfortunately I'm up in Scotland so too far fore to travel...

It's a great idea @smag3, I've seen lots of people on the forum say that they don't know anyone with T1 so I'm sure there'll be a few looking to meet up
 
Hi @smag3 - there is a meet up planned for Tuesday, 28th March in York city. To date we have about 10 people from this forum travelling - think there is 2 Type 1's and 8 Type 2's.

Hi @MH2010 - I live in York and I've not heard of any such Groups for Type 2 or even Type 1. But, it was another Type 2 member who is visiting York suggested We meet-up?
So we created a Thread and others have said they would to come for the day.
And then I saw read the post on this Thread from @smag3 and thought she might want to meet up also ?

@Liam1955 you have the date wrong, don't you mean the 28th?
 
@noblehead -Thank You, much appreciated - it is indeed the: 28th March on a Tuesday at York Station.
