Hi there

Pretty new to this site and re assuring that there are a lot more likemided people like me in the same situation and going through the same daily challenges.

Question to all those who have experienced spontanious remission - what sort of timescales did this last. I know it can be for a day, week, month or several months but would like to know what other peoples experiences have been.

This is the second time it's happened to me, the first time was for about a month.

I got diagnosed last May, aged 37.

think your meaning whats known as "the honeymoon period" where your insulin cells have a rest due to injecting insulin but over time your remaining cells are attacked. Timescale various greatly between individuals. Some never have it happen, others der ion weeks to years. No set answer sorry. Personally, seen a gradual decline over 12 months of my insulin production during this time and now my doses are alot more settled and more predictable.

Hi Brett

Yeah, honeymoon period. Quite strange how it happens. I've was getting on grand injecting then started getting a lot of hypos.

I'll enjoy this period whilst it lasts
