I consume around 30-40 grams per day would this be classed as low carb or extremely low carb ?
Thanks Dillinger, I'm less than 240 but not true low carb but I have still voted. Thanks.Good question; the recommended daily amount is about 240 grams isn't it? So, if you think of yourself as a low carber and are less than that then please vote. But if a figure is really needed I'd say 150 grams or less a day.
Paul - 1.5 counts! I should have made that clear.
Best

So what about if you eat 150g of carbs some days but 180-200g other days, is it set in stone the 150g of carbs or lower figure or is there some flexibility?
Like Mo I'd probably wouldn't class myself as a low-carber but do eat below the RDA for an adult male.
I don't know Noblehead; I think between you me and the NHS we are both low-carbers so I'd be happy if you contributed to the poll, but it's down to you. I don't think it needs to be a rigid thing; if you think of yourself as someone who limits their carbs (certainly in terms of the 240 a day suggested amount) then you are a low carber for the basis of this.
I'm trying to see what we come up with (being motivated diabetics and carb restrictors) versus the National Audits where something like only 25% of Type 1 manage to get HbA1c's below 7.5% and only about 6% below 6.5%.
