Apologies for being late to the party. From my reading: infections like this are often caused by the Staph. bug (Staphlycoccus Aureas or family but also other bugs can be involved (see omicsonline.com J. Diabetes and metabolism 'Skin Infections in Diabetes: A Review - Gangwane et al Jan 2016 ) and because of our regular visits to places of infection (GP surgeries and hospitals), lowered immunity to infection as diabetics plus our penchant for injecting ourselves there can be a risk of picking up nasty bugs from one's skin, bugs that may be resistant to the usual first choice antibiotic the doctor suggests. On the subject of pumps... I seem to have a little infection on an old (maybe a fortnight) site. Red lump, a little warm, that leaks pus when I stick a sterile needle in it. Trying to get hold of someone to give me advice and maybe antibiotics but as it’s lunchtime, I’ve got two hopes - Bob and no.
Any advice? Sugars are good.

Good morning y'alla waking 4,6 from a sleeping 3,8, good old A cells and sat at 5.5 waiting for the Humalog to start working for my porridge.
It looks a bit breezy and cold outside but not quite cold enough for the thermals, I need a shave but my shave gel is mysteriously empty and my last Mach 3 looks mysteriously used so I suspect child's been messing with themI'm tempted to pour her shampoo into her conditioner bottle and vice versa but that's a bit childish

Good morning my pancreatically challenged friends.
Had a very level day yesterday.....UNTIL the Mrs decided she wanted chips for tea....Normally have a mice beef pie and chips (small chips between us) and count 90 grams of carb, usually split dose over 2 hours.....well that didn't work as it should have....9pm was 9.9 and rising quickly (3 hours after food) so 3 unit correction...2 hours later 11 rising quickly another 3 units. Went to bed with phone in silent mode (still get my Pebble to vibrate thou)....2 pm Pebble trying to get off my wrist and 15!!!! 5 unit correction and back to sleep. Woke to a 7.1 at 7am phew!!! and now on a steady 6. Going up the chippy tonite to tell them to stop using high carb potatoes
I calculate my carb intake before my roast dinner then have to take extra insulin afterwards!
Truth be told I take insulin for 6 but then eat 8 and I once tried taking insulin for 8 but I ate 10!

If they weren't perfect I wouldn't eat so many.
She once had the temerity to make less potatoes which made me sulk all night so she hasn't done it since!!

Will edit it now lmao....I blame Tom for not keeping Jerry under control in your pie
