I have always advocated that any technology purchased should come with a small child attached...........good morning...... ....hope everyone has a good day.....
I’ll confess to getting quite upset by the constant vegetarian/vegan bashing too. I like low carb as you know, it makes my own personal body easier to run - but if you can make carbs work, then there’s no problem. We’re not metabolically compromised in the same way; we have major organ failure. I rarely venture outside this thread now, unless I’m tagged for something specific. It’s a shame. But when the response to a post about veggie meat substitutes is a thread full of pictures of meat, it’s time to bow out.
Woke to a wonderful blanket of snow up here near Glasgow about 6cm of the stuff. Looks beautiful.
Good morning all. Still nothing on my MM/xdrip....going to uninstall then reinstall later on.
Weather miserable here too. Having a day with my sewing machine and new vinyl. Very considerate of my favourite band to release a remastered version of my favourite album with a load of unheard stuff, I thought. And 50 miles east of you, we've got a sort of aggresive mix of sleet/hail/rain! Think I'll just stay in today!
Thank you. Is that easy to do lolWhen I first got the blucon transmitter before mm, I noticed that each time a new nightly release of xdrip came out, there was posts on the "issues" page saying there was glitches.
I decided just to keep the version I had, not do updates or automatic downloads of newer versions.
I vaguely recall there's been some mention of glitches through newer versions of android and the watch OS, so I've been telling all the upgrade messages to do one.
Maybe wind it all back to an older version?

Bit of patchwork quilting. I have a little freehand machine quilting to do on one I made a while ago just to finish it off. It’s been on the bed a while, and I can’t wash it (the filling will puff up) until I’ve finished that bit. Then I’ll get on with my reversible skull rag quilt! What are you sewing Mel?
We need to go careful with our anti "rest of the forum" rhetoric.
It’s the whole balance between physical and mental health that is key here. Speaking from n=1 personal experience, I know my mental health is better because my levels are way better thanks to following a grit way of eating. But I’m an adult, with two decades of horrible diabetes management under my belt. So I can choose how I want to manage the failure of my pancreas. I can’t seem to balance carbs and the insulin action/delivery to avoid swinging levels, and it’s not like I don’t have enough education and skills to be able to manage the numbers side of it. I’m mildly jealous of those of you who do, in the same way that I’m mildly jealous of those of you who can eat meat and cheese without your lungs seizing up. But it is what it is. One size doesn’t fit all.Nah, some things need to be said.
It's really disturbing seeing newly dx'd T1s being misled into thinking they need to rule out an entire food group when the reality is that most situations are totally manageable with cgm and a basic understanding of ratios and timing.
It's absolutely pathetic the number of times a parent of a newly dx'd T1 kid is looking for advice on how to deal with spikes, only for them to be told that the type1grit kids are doing "better".
I'd love to see some psychological studies of how the long term welfare of type1grit kids have worked out.
I suspect many of them have turned up at school telling teachers, "mum doesn't let me eat this, can I try it, are carrots and onions really that bad, that stew looks nice but dad says it might have cornflour in it, so I can't, they make me watch that Bernstein guy on youtube, he's creepy..."
Evening.
Yeah I know not posted much this week mainly because of the food fanatics in other threads which just depress/annoy me intensely but now drunk so though would wonder in.
@porl69 did you get your tech issues sorted?
@Capt-Slog your Jelly Baby and the microwave experiment was the funnies things I have read on here for a long time.

Everyone else hav a HUG!
Anyway I am now off to blow s*** up somewhere in the universe, might have to split dose around Venus mind you plus also drunk and feel awesome after a full on carb plus tea and chocolate.
Thank you. Is that easy to do lol
Thank you. Just done it all. Had a brain meltdown before lol. It's all working as of 5 mins ago. Will keep you updated. Again thank youYes on the xDrip release page they usually have a whole stack of releases, all you need to do in uninstall the version you have now and reinstall with a previous version.
I think, can't remember, but you will have to set everything back up again, like alarms, limits etc.

Listening to the Hooten Hallers, I’d highly recommend them!
