@smc4761 I too am sorry your pump is not helping you out at the moment.
I notice you often mention going high after breakfast. I wonder if you need to adjust your insulin to carb ratio for breakfast. It doesn't seems uncommon to need more insulin at the start of the day.
I am not suggesting changing anything until you have given the basal change a chance to settle (or not) but perhaps this could be something else to try if the basal change does not do what you want.
Morning Disrupters,
My dispensing pharmacist is a lovely guy who will say "Hi" if I see him in the street and is eager to learn - he asked me all about the Libre one time, for example.
I am not sure what it says about me and my partner - while my pharmacist speaks to me in the street, a pub landlord speaks to him!
Climbing last night was fun. I was awarded "climber of the night". This is the first week we have had such an accolade and it is only amongst our small group of friends. We realised there is always one of us (and it changes from week to week) who manages to get up a particularly challenging wall or climb especially elegantly. Last night was the night I achieved two climbs without any assistance for the first time. I think "just going for it" helps my BG. If I hang around struggling, my BG goes up, I start to feel stressed, my BG goes up more, my arms start to ache, my BG goes up further, ... So, whilst the award was for my climbing, I was very chuffed with a maximum BG of 7.1.
RRB - look after your little toe ... you only have two of them.
Cumbs - sorry to read about your feet.
Becca - have fun on the Monkey Maze
Japes - may your week of wins continue
WuTwo - don't work too hard
Knikki and Porl - don't get in too much trouble
To anyone I have missed, have a great day.
You too cumbs xxHave a good day all
Today's good news reminded me I'm glad I applied as soon as I could - 2.5 months after applying, DVLA have said in 2 weeks I'll get a shiny 3 year licence
@smc4761 the pump is giving you the run around at the moment! Stick with it thou, you will be amazed when it is all dialled in for you. It is going to take a while. And as you know as soon as you get it dialled in.....T1D will give you the runaround again
