I’m dishing out free hugs all around yes manhugs available too

I was naughty last night and went to the chippy and got fish and chips

I know I shouldn’t have done but I got the urge and there was no stopping me, I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way or am I the sole naughty boy

I adore chip shop chips! I'm having some tomorrow - got my son and his partner coming over and he's asked if we can get takeout. (My husband is an amzing cook but hey - kids!) So - his partner and I get the spicy beanburger & chips, and the menfolk can choose whatever they want. Add huge dollops of home made coleslaw (vegan), and some salad and go for it - no guilt! It's planned and allowed for... and I'm soooo looking forward to it.

Got a call yesterday afternoon to say my consultant appt has been brought forward to this afternoon. Possibility of having a quick HBA1C while I am there. It will be mainly about my pump I suspect
Woken up at 3am with a LOW alarm, so 5 jelly babies, a quick look around FB until they started to rise again and awoke to a 6.8.

I will, and apart from the one crutch assisted walk to the hairdressers and back to have a lovely relaxing shampoo Hamish and I are having a disgustingly lazy day. Must do the exercises though. And I’m really really looking forward to the time when the scar’s healed and I can get in the shower again. No, I’m not giving out clothespegs for noses, just having flashbacks to early pre-shower times and the times aged 3 when all-over washes were sitting on the wooden draining board at the kitchen sink. Substitute bathroom for kitchen these days - no draining board. And thank goodness deodorant’s been developed. And it’s spring. And there’s a washing machine.
 
I remember those washes. When mum used to help me 'cos I was tiny, she'd always say what her mum had said to her, "Up as far as possible, down as far as possible and then wash possible". I still think of that when I'm stood in front of a sink.

Thanks FG, it is 9.1 now and having a hearty lunch I normally have a small yogurt of 6 carbs =1/2 unit. but I doubled it today and I went low, also the morning is normally the most active time of the day.
Back to lunch and tea
 
just a quick catch up lunch time, yesterdays numbers were 5 and 6's during work so did something right, today I completely missed my morning basal (not by design) and just tested now and i'm 8.6 so probably a good job i did miss it!

I can't believe Scott c has left, as far as Libre and associated devices he was up there with Tim2000

people come and go on this forum which keeps it bubbling i guess.
 
You're definitely not the only one. I am quite strong-willed (or so I like to think), but good old fish and chips is one thing I really miss on keto, so I'm going to have some come my birthday in a month's time.
 
Guess I'm just lucky that fish shop fish and chips never appealed to me; the only way I want to eat fish shop chips is in a chip butty and I'm happy enough to live without those. Mention chocolate though.....
