A further question... your avatar says powered by insulin... Are you insulin deficient at all? I'm not sure whether or not you know that or you've been placed on insulin by your docs to get control. If you do not know, it is probably a good idea to find out as that may help you in the correct treatment of your diabetes. I've had both the GAD test and the c-peptide test done 3 times since diagnosis. My latest one was in 2010 where my GAD was still negative result, but my c-peptide result showed I hardly produced insulin. The previous tests I had was 2005 so I estimate I lost insulin production about 2008 as that is when things went downhill fast. You may have something similar going on?
