I have type 2 diabetes, after tests I was told I do not produce insulin and was put onto insulin and Byetta. my problem is that my levels are in the 20s and 30s, I have been into hospital three times the latest was for three days with my blood tested every hour,(ended up for a week) with a very slight drop (it tended to go up over night.

It can drop at any time and I can get hypos, I was recommended for a pump 5 years ago after I was put on one int the hospital that brought it down to a steady 5.6 but was turned down becuase ( you got it I am classed still as type 2)

I was told by the diabetic clinic at the last visit NO PUMP TYPE 2!

So Have nerve damage, eye damage, no control of my bowels and more to follow .

When I saw my notes they had put down poorly controled, I have done every thing I was ask (and more) now if they cannot bring it down what chance do have I.

this is awful for you...if you are not producing any insulin and need to take insulin and byetta, are they not revising what type of diabetes you have?
