Type 2 and occupations ?

I have attended a few courses over the last year to upgrade/renew some of my (electrical) qualifications, and i'm very surprised how many electricians have type 2 diabetes, the last course i was on, in July, was attended by 14 electricians and 9 of us were type 2 diabetic.
I started mentioning it on every course i attend, because the same thing happened last year, i was on a course with 10 others and 7 of us were type 2, so now i ask on every course i attend, and it is surprising to me that so many of us are in the same boat.

hmmmm, interesting, perhaps you hit upon the epidemic, being a electrician causes diabetes which on thinking back I did change a plug on a toaster a couple of weeks before diagnosis, orrrrrrrrrrr being an electrician is such an easy job that electricians get fat and ......

that is weird tho

im a stonemason and don't know any other type 2`s in the game so maybe silicosis is the trade off hehe
