Hello
Ive been diagnosed type 2 since 2011 and on Insulin and tablets.
Just having a review at the Hospital and the Dr has decided I should attend the Daphne? course?
He said this will be a week long course and I'll need to Inject 4 times a day!
Doe's this mean I am now type 1???

Very confused

No you will still be type 2 however you should be treated like a type 1. I know this as this is exactly how I am treated by the diabetes clinic,

Type 2 diagnosed 24/01/2013.
NovoRapid, Lantus, Victoza, Metformin (sr), Simvistatin

DAFNE is just a course that teaches carb counting and flexibility to adjust insulin. It's nothing to do with your diagnosis.

@serendipity,
DAFNE is normally a T1 only course as I recall and most areas don't allow T2s on. Are you sure it is DAFNE and not a DAFNE types course like "XPERT insulin"? might be an idea to check with hospital :
1) Diagnosis
&
2) Actual course

I was just about to link to this where the DAFNE page says that the course isn't appropriate for people with T2
