In the U.K. with COVID my Question being Type 2 are we classified as vulnerable we are on some lists and some excluded ?, as vulnerable group’s being called for vaccination so aren’t we classified as vulnerable.
Yes we are at risk and vulnerable but diabetes on its own doesn’t necessarily class us as extremely vulnerable,In the U.K. with COVID my Question being Type 2 are we classified as vulnerable we are on some lists and some excluded ?, as vulnerable group’s being called for vaccination so aren’t we classified as vulnerable.
Disagree. Without other issues or age, type 2 (all diabetes actually) is vulnerable and so on the 6th cohort. This does mean we have special treatment in that we are higher up the list than someI think that we are considered more vulnerable than those with no chronic condition, but not vulnerable enough to merit any special treatment unless there are other co-morbidities.
That is, no special category for self isolating or going to the top of the list for supermarket deliveries and such like, but an acknowledgement that if we catch it we are at a higher risk of a poor outcome.
