I`ve got prostatitis + type 2 diabetes.Got c1 on my driving licence do I have to give this up and does this mean I can`t pull a trailer with a 3 1/2 ton van ?

What meds are you on for the diabetes?
DVLA shouldn't steal your C1 unless you are on insulin.
Even on insulin you should have B+E (if you are pre '97) which should cover your for a 3.5 tonner

I don't know. Much depends on medications you take, and obviously your health. The DVLA website has lots of useful information, if you ask Dr Google.

Metformin -diabetes.
Ramipril & Lercanidipine - Blood pressure
Atorvastatin- Cholesterol
Also could I refuse to drive a van with trailer ?

for this lot there should be no auto ban on C1 or D1 as you are not on insulin if your licence is pre 1997 you should still have your +E on your codes so should be licenced for a trailer.
I am OK for my ELWB Iveco & 2.5 tonne trailer!
