My doctor won't issue me with a bg monitor nor test strips, if I apply to Abbot for one of their free ones are they likely to turn me down as I am type 2? Has anyone received one or been turned down?

I am type2 and sent off for a free meter from Abbott arrived in 2 days no problem good luck

I got one too, and their strips are cheaper to buy direct from themselves rather than the chemist. I'm type 2 as well.
