Type 2 Medications

With a low carb diet you might be able to ditch the meds entirely. I wasn't too far off two years ago from where you started, HbA1c-wise. Was off meds in 3 months and into the non-diabetic zone. Side effects always hit me hard, but metformin especially, and I've had cow milk issues for years, which made the lactose thing a problem. Though recently I've started a keto diet, (VERY low carb) I seem to be getting rid of food intolerances as well... Got yoghurt dressing last weekend and I didn't have the courage to ask for a salad without it, and surprisingly, no problems! I'd read it was a possibility, but I didn't dare hope. Had half a mug of milk a day later to check... Went well! W00t! Fatty liver is getting better, PCOS and rheumatism too... And dropping weight. Not as fast as I'd like, about a kilo a month now... Most people shed them like water. But that could be due to meds for other issues. Still, it's coming off, albeit slowly. And I have bacon every day, haha! Good luck!

Thank you for your comments it’s very motivational. I have also found the odd fairy item is tolerable now. I have gone a bit wayward with the carbs over the last week but I will go back to being stricter as I know that I feel better when I am.
