All this week my sugars have been fluctuating, 13,17,27 to 32. GP says ok as no kitones are detected in urine. I have increasing abdominal pains though ...what is it.

Those bg levels look to be getting very high - am surprised if your gp thinks it is okay. Have you been eating anything different recently? Perhaps you are coming down with something, but if your bgs aren't coming down do go back to your gp and ask for help, ketones or no ketones.

I try to eat the kind of food that keep my bg below 6-7. What do you eat? As your readings are very high and may damage you brain, eyes, kidneys and nerves.

Hello Diamond52. With figures that high you must be feeling dreadful. I am very surprised your GP says its ok, because it really isn't! As has already been said you need to make another appointment asap. As you're complaining of abdo pain it's possible you may be brewing up some sort of infection or maybe have a gynae problem which needs sorting. Meanwhile cut down on your carbohydrate intake as much as possible, and up your fluid intake...water is best to ensure you stay well hydrated.
Good luck, I hope you feel better soon :)

I agree with Beachbag.
If things don't improve tonight and the pain is unbearable then I would ring the Duty Doctor at your surgery and ask for advice. If you can cope tonight then make sure you see someone tomorrow.
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Catherinechureb, I try to eat healthy at most times this includes fruits...1x banana, sakisumo, apple, kiwi etc, then on food eat small portion rice & tablespoon greek natural yogurt, boiled potatoes. I feared same but was shocked to be turned back home.I went off taste of water so went on orange lucozade drink 380ml x3? What do you recommend?

Hi Beachbag, sugars been down to 15, 12 & 11 from 12midnight to now but pain in lower tummy on left leg in excruciating on getting up, sleeping & walking! Throbbing feeling in nose bridge. GPasked if confused on telephone and answered no...he diagnosed vertigo. On amoxcillin & bethahistamines...does this sound about right??

Cut out the tropical fruits (esp the banana) and stop the lucozade it is pure sugar. Try replacing the banana with raspberries. I suggest you go back to water or black tea (hot or iced)/black coffee.

Hi again Diamond52 :) I am not a doctor so can't really comment on his diagnosis of vertigo for someone complaining of abdominal and leg pain or his choice of medication. Are you sure you've got the right word?
Anyway, as regards your diet....water is important so try chilling it and adding a slice of lemon or lime to a glass, it's much nicer. You seem to be limiting yourself to small amounts of meat, lots of fruit, some carbs, ie potatoes, rice etc and a small amount of yogurt. If I ate that I'd be starving and my BG would soar, lol. I don't eat potatoes, rice, bread or any grains or fruit with the exception of berries and when it's in season, rhubarb. ....bananas are deadly! But what I do eat are eggs, (lots of them) meat, fish, cheese and LOADS of mushrooms and green vegetables except peas which spike my bg. Celeriac acts as a great potato substitute, a veg I'd never considered and you'd be amazed how good cauliflower mash is as a topping for cottage pie! I eat full fat Greek yogurt, use my frying pan almost daily for bacon and egg breakfast or lunch..... stir fried cabbage and leek in coconut oil is quick and very tasty. I have single cream in my coffee (decaf) and use double cream for making sauces and as a topping for my favourite sugar free jelly, lol. I did it by experimenting with food, testing pre meal and again 2hrs after. Anything that put me above 7.5 was removed from my diet, sometimes temporarily. Unlike all the other diets I've tried, I find that by eating a low carb, relatively high fat diet, I'm never hungry, have lots of energy, have lost 17lbs and most of all, have reduced my overall bg levels.
I'm not sure if this is what you wanted to read but .....sorry if I've bored you.
Take care ;)

lucozade x3 would be around 200g of glucose/sugar probably best to avoid if you're diabetic :)
