I have alot of other health problems,as well as diabete.Insulin dependent for 18 yrs.Moved from Wales to Sotland 2 yrs ago.Am having problems with my fingers, trapped nerves in neck.Asked the nurse if i can use Libra, and was told no,its only for T1.Some days my fingers are very numb, and cannot feel to hold the finger pricker.
Ive now been told, that there is no diabetic review now.The proceedure is,to have bloods twice a yr.If the nurse sees the results, and it up only then can you see the nurse. Not able to have a word ,over the ph if i have a problem.

The article below says it's available for T2s on "intensive insulin therapy"
http://diabetestimes.co.uk/nhs-drug-tariff-approval-freestyle-libre-system/
but I know approval depends on your local NHS area...
Can you make an appointment to see your doctor and explain about your issues? Is it possible to change doctors if your surgery is unable/unwilling to help you?

I've always thought that T2s on insulin have a worse time than T1s on insulin, but didn't realise they also had to cope with second class treatment from the NHS. So sorry this is happening to you. Virtual hugs coming your way.

Hi Misty - I hope you find a way forward for the Libre. Lots of people find them very helpful.

On an aside, your diabetes type is showing, to me, as being Type 1, but your post states therwise. You can change it by going to your account. If you click on your name at the top right of your screen, you'll get to yourr account.
