Help please. Diagnosed 11 months ago. Taking Metformin 500g twice a day plus Lipitor for cholesterol. Over the last 4-6 weeks I have been suffering with a swollen right ankle. First blood test since diagnosis showed I had levels under control. Due back for 6 monthly test next week. Today I have swollen ankle and an extreme pain in my right knee and it feel like it is grinding/grating. Any one else had this?
