Hi everyone I would love to know if anyone was diagnosed with type 2 before 2010 and what your Fasting blood levels are each morning ? Just to compare !!
I was diagnosed in June 2006 with an HbA1c of 96!! My HbA¹c is currently 40 with fbg levels from mid 4s to mid 6s but usually about 5-5.3 I don't know if comparing fbg levels is a good idea @gunner10 we are all different. I control my diabetes with diet and exercise since finding this site in 2015. Before then I took Metformin and ate a higher carb diet, I don't know what my fbg levels were then as I didn't test. Nowadays I try to stay below 7 at all times but don't always succeed
How are you doing with your BG levels, fasting and otherwise?

Yes, 2009 (if i recall). The first years I was able to stick to 5-7. but as time went on the bg went up. Recently, I was able to adjust to a good number after spreading the glyclaczide 3x per day. Metformin has never been very strong but I don't have side effects. The worst numbers for me are under 5 now as I get cardiac pain, or at least I think it is cardiac. An anaesthesiologist for dental surgery told me I have left ventricular heart problem. Maybe that increased with diabetes.
