Anonymous Question Type 2 with a cold, on metformin, can I take any medicine?

I'm type two diabetic and am full of cold. What can I take that won't interfere with my metformin? Sorry if I've spelt my medication wrong I'm finish at spelling.

I have used diabetic tussin during flus to limit the sugar content of most cough syrups. I've used homeopathic things that you take at the beginning of a flu but stress and illness can raise your blood sugars.

I use diabetic Tussin for my cough and it seems to work. But my cough sets my other illness off. I'm going to have to go doctors in the morning just to make sure o have nothing else going on.
