Hi everyone. I have recently been diagnosed with type 2. although I feel better than i did I still can't summon the energy to do things. I find this really depressing

Hi @Chris_L and welcome to the forum. What was your HbA1c (blood sugar reading) figure when you were diagnosed? It must have been quite high if you were put on insulin. It will take a bit of time to come down.
A lot of us on here have found that adopting a Low Carbohydrate High Fat (LCHF) approach to eating has lowered our blood sugar levels. Have a read round the threads to see how it works, and ask any questions you want to.
Lowering bs levels will usually also result in feeling better generally, and more energy. I could hardly walk one mile when I was diagnosed, but now walk at least 5 miles every day, and usually over 10 miles.

Hi Chris
Hang on in there, things will improve over time as you learn how to manage your condition. I would recommend that you read other people's posts on the forum so that you can find out all you need to know. This is the best place to learn all about diabetes. All the best
