I have been on Sitigliptin for 3 years. I read all about this drug . About 6 months ago I had severe pains near my abdomen. I asked the doc for a pancreas scan, she reckoned I had reflux because of my symptoms. After a lot of tooing and froing to the doctors I was able to have a CT scan. My pancreas is a 'funny shape' so the doctor said ... I have also had to have an endoscpopy of my pancreas ...Awaiting the results. The doc put me on Metformin because I stopped taking the Sitigliptin. My tummy was still painful. I have now come off my medication altogether and since this has happened I am no longer in pain. Trouble is, my blood sugars are now 10 and over ... What do I do. My doctors aren't very diabetic conscious ..
