There are a lot of people who think insulin is the last resort for type 2's. How about specialists who feel that it should be started at diagnosis?
Two articles below, the first debunking the myths about insulin and the second asking about intensive insulin treatment for newly diagnosed. Both have a positive note.

To be honest if I had to be on insulin then I would accept it and these articles would help me understand more. There should not be any guilt attached to it's use for type 2's and considering that some get a diagnosis between five and ten years after they have had diabetes it may be the only option.
