Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Up at 8.15 today (day off work) and reading was 8.0 BUT on the other finger/hand it was 8.2........ So claiming the lower reading.
Hoping to get the BG levels down today as when I work a 2.30 - 10pm shift my levels seem higher, no lower than 7.0 during the day/evening I do walk about at work, but I suppose it's not fast walking (in a residential care home). I don't pick at any food stuffs at home or at work. I turned down a lovely chocolate sweet from a box of chocolates yesterday. I knew if I had one then I'd want another.
 
Good Morning! 7.3 at 0630. Had a mug of coffee with cream at 0700, and reading at 0900 was 5.9.
