Hi M, when you say you didn't eat too badly, do mind me asking what you did eat and did you test before and sometime after eating?I see blood readings of 5 and 6 but I have never managed that, mine is 10 today so does anyone know why, I walked a few miles yesterday but didn't eat too badly?
That's what the experiment was. 100mls t bedtimeDoesn't wine suppress blood glucose a little (especially red wine?).
I have to ask, why the sleep pattern if you think it is a contributing factor.
Cheers
Hj
Absolutely and the more you have the lower your bloods - try to stick to under 4 bottles a night though.Doesn't wine suppress blood glucose a little (especially red wine?).

Thank you... If it's only three days I can do that!!Quite the opposite. It is only a kick start - originally atkins proposed and then taken up and updated by others.
In a nutshell...
Short term - 3 days at 1000 cals per day 90% of which is fat. Then increase by 200 cals for further 3 days and build from there. It is only short term and the only time cal counting is recommended on certain diets not endoresed/recommended/known about by nhs hcp's.
Hi MrsMac...First ever morning reading and judgng by reading back on this post, it isn't great 7.5 at 8am
The calm voice of reason...Not really. Doctors and nurses have to cope with many unrelated conditions. They are trained in practises that are traditional and trusted. If you trust in your training there is little incentive to reject it and accept a completely different strategy. Here, however, we are all fixated on the one topic so we have had the luxury of time and self-interested motivation to find the very latest information. Health care professionals will catch up eventually!
Mine is 10 in the morning, I am cutting my carbs, walking, what else can I do !
