Mine fasting is 13.8mmg which is about 248 in American and Europe numbers, way too high and made worse by the awful heat we are having at present.
Seeing the specialist Thursday most likely for a change of medication as mine is too expensive for my surgery!

A nice 4.8 this morning after a really good sleep. Out like a light at 11.30 and didnt wake up again till about 5.30.

Welcome - can't say I like your numbers but at least you are seeing the specialist which I hope goes well. I think my numbers were like that when first diagnosed but I didn't post here then. Do ask questions as people on here have really worked at bringing their numbers down.

4.9 am,
up a bit earlier this morning, not looking too bad out there, better than yesterday's rain, that's for sure.

7 today I did 8 hoiurs work yesterday .... time to stop I think seeing as they treat you like your a spring chicken even at the age of 69 grrrrrrrrrr

I'm not keen on my numbers either, I've been waking up feeling very hot, thirsty and dehydrated lately, I've been on saxagliptin for over a year but it hasn't moved my BS levels much, down just 2 points, I don't eat much anyway but especially not when it's hot but what I do eat I'm concious of.
I don't eat wheat as I'm intolerant and I rarely eat rice or potatoes, I don't eat cows dairy products as I'm intolerant to them too, I drink skimmed goats milk and use goats butter as its lower in sugar than soya milk.
Recently I moved area and joined a new surgery to be told that the onglyza I'm on isn't one that they offer at this surgery, as its expensive.
I tried metformin a few years ago but it made me very ill so they switched me to this saxagliptin, as glicozide can cause considerable weight gain and both myself and the nurse didn't want that!
Shall see what happens Thursday......watch this space!
Any ideas what they will do for me?, as I've had diabetes since I was pregnant with my daughter 12 years ago, I did diet only after she was born for 8 years and then metformin and then saxagliptin.

6.2 this morning don't know whether that's my liver bouncing back or the Indian takeaway I had last night (just chicken tikka and spinach - must have had hidden sugars) I shall go for a long walk to bring it down.

9.1 @ 4.50am, then 4.9 @ 7.45am PHEW !

Morning folks. BG 4.3 today. Waaaay too low for me as I get a stinking headache with numbers like that. A nice slice of wholemeal toast with Nutella & peanut butter brought my levels up to a much better 5.0

so much duck tape, what a waste. An old punishement for over zealous military policeman over here was to hijack "one "and tie him up to a tree, just as your photograph shows. Just one difference though, he was left there naked. More economical and less plastics pollution.

You're underselling yourself by saying it isn't bad. The figures speak for themselves -they are good to very good.

Morning troops

5.6 fasting. So hit my 15 stone target for end of June and bounced back up to 15.4 this morning. Looks like a fat fast is in order to reach 14.5 by end of July. A bit more planning, preparation, measuring and consistency called for.
