Thanks JohnD54Jim, I stopped after over 40 years of cigs last November, been vaping ever since slowly lowering nicotine content.
Well done & keep with it.

Well done on the fags @scottish-jim. Outside of Cockney land it's quite easy to forget that people still smoke. Up there you can't escape it especially round the pub exits or just walking in the streets as people nip out of their offices for a crafty gasper.
Ciao
Wow well done you on 50 smoke free days ....proud of youGood morning all
5.1 this morning
PS: 50 days off the cigarettes now (Happy Vaper)
Thanks GezzabelleWow well done you on 50 smoke free days ....proud of you
I hear you on that....I tried so many times to quit before finally doing it with success. 10 months for me on the 27th of this month and I can honestly say I never even think of smoking nowThanks Gezzabelle
It's actually been quite easy
Got a little problem folks. Not sleeping great, so got up at 5am....fasting BG at that time was a nice 4.8. Can't eat brekkie straight away, so had a handful of cherries to whet my appetite. Pottered around, But darn it...another stinking headache. That's my cue that my BG is on the slide. I don't get any other classic hypo warning signs apart from the splitting head. Anyway, Lo & behold, I tested & it was 4.1. No meds had been taken. Made some toast with peanut butter, which has helped, but feeling grotty still. No idea why BG is dropping as it is, but I don't like it!!! Any thoughts on how I can manage this more effectively would be very welcome. Thank you all. X
(Oh, if you haven't already checked it out...take a look at the thread below. It'll make you feel good.

Alison, as your DN has respected your autonomy in dealing with your condition and medication, I'd be inclined to have a trial period off the Glic all together. Not only might it ease the fast drops you appear to be having, it might help, if you are still trying to trim up a bit. As you probably know, a common issue with Glic is it makes it trickier to lose weight.
I would add that I have never taken any diabetes medication, never mind Gliclazide, but it feels extremely counter-intuitive to be to be feeding yourself to drive your bloods up, whilst taking a drug which is designed to drive your blood scores down. My gut feel is that this fight is tough enough without those sorts of little curved balls.
Perhaps your time for Glic is at an end?
This morning reading was 12 all over the place most day time reading are around 6 didn't seem to mater what time or what I eat in the evening my fasting bg is so unpredictable
Yay, thank youExcellent results dunelm, got to the top of the class alongside Moshe
