7.5 this morning at last coming down hoping it keeps trending that way yay

3.8 for me this morning, so low/mid range for me.

It's been a beautiful morning here, after an evening and night of blustery, heavy rain. I fear autumn is on it's way. So, with that in mind, I have been taking curtains down for cleaning. I currently have two rooms with bare windows, so I think I know what this afternoon's activity will be......

Play nicely boys and girls.

18.9 this morning, carb free breakfast, 19.2 at the moment. Probably drop to 16-17 throughout the day.

Pretty **** really.

Feels like my beta cells are dying away. Nothing is working. Gliclazide used to work, now it doesn't, GLimerperide never worked even at 6mg.

Bydureon week 6. No change.

Diabetes nurse said 'next time you're in clinic we will look at other options, probably insulin.'

I don't have a next time, nothing booked no one gives a flying monkey, my toes are numb I have bleeding vessels in my retina, I am only 38 and I am sick of this disease!!

I am doing the only thing I can have any control over, and that is to lose weight which I am doing spectacularly well at!!

8.3 before breakfast and 2.5 hours later,still 8.3

Continue what you are doing hopefully as you continue loosing weight things in general will start to stabilise and start to improve.

The was informative thank you. So, do these phenomena only occur in People who take insulin?

Hi. From what I understand our liver produces sugar when we wake to give us a boost for getting up, this maybe why you have high readings in the morning.

Hi sally, it sounds like you are having a hard time at the moment. you must be feeling shocking with those high numbers. it might be best to see your Dr or nurse to get them down.
have you checked for ketones? you can get urine ketostiks from a chemist for 4 quid, if you cant get into see your dr/nurse till Monday. if you tell them your numbers, they should squeeze you in today or tomorrow

Had a very stressful day yesterday and came back home to find glucose at 4.9
After dinner 5.0
Fasting 4.8

17.9 this morning, spoke to diabetic nurse, she said it can wait until I am next in clinic, I don't have a date for that. Might just go back to my GP.

Thanks to the posters for the support. I feel fantastic about losing weight, and I know in the long run that lowering my weight will ultimately help. So I am going to continue to do so and let the professionals sort out my sugars.
