Back from the Dr's......she wasn't mad at me for going off the metformin, but she wasn't impressed that I didn't tell her when I was doing it. Promised her that I wouldn't do something like that again.
My A1C is down to 5.2 !and I can stay off the drugs! Next appointment is in 3 months. Feeling good about this.
Yay! Met free and happy. Just need to drop my cholesterol, hoping that comes in time with continuing this diet.

I’m reconciled to those now, but I was more bothered by their impact on my averages. Individual numbers (apart from those couple I’d already winged about) were absolutely fine, but my averages were increasing. .
I get far more stressed seeing the impact on my averages than I do with the actual readings that caused this! Not obsessed or anything ....

yes I think so. I suspect that I was never designed to be running at under 4.5! The fibromyalgia certainly seems worse when my BS is under 5.@cold ethyl isn't that what @Andrew Colvin says he feels when in the 4's?
What were you before you ate the fish, and did you test 2 hours later? That is the only way to decide if the fish caused you problems. Personally, I can manage a whole chippy fish without it affecting my levels at 1hr. 2hrs. 2.5hrs. 3hrs. and bedtime. There is so much fat involved that it lowers the GI of the batter, and in my case lowers it enough not to spike me.
When was your last meal before your fasting count at miday? It is generally not a good idea to go too long without food. You only get more hungry and overeat/eat the wrong food as a result when you do have a meal. Especially breakfast should not be missedI tested at midday-8.0 fasting.Ate fish at 1pm and ate nothing and tested at 10 past 4-pm 9.9.Drppped to 6.3 at 18.10.Hving trouble with my COPD and blood pressure is 150/100.
