Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5.1 for me this morning, not far off my all time low . It was kind of expected after a preprandial of 5.0 and a post prandial at +2.5 of 4.8 (I was engrossed in a film and forgot the +2 ).

Congratulations on the weight loss.

Pretty decent glucose counts as well!

Funny how 200lbs seems a lot more significant than 14st4lbs!

I do not actually understand imperial measurements as I have always used metric but just converted and that makes you 90kg which is almost the same weight as me!

Good to see you back where you belong with your fasting.

5.0 at bedtime
5.8 this morning

No idea why my liver dumps have returned. I didn't have any for several months, but now it's every night. I guess it's just the way I am.

We almost match rod! 5.1 fasting for me, 4.5 post dinner last night and 4.2 bedtime!! Something in the air?

5.0 before dinner
5.5 after dinner
5.7 fasting
so no 4's yesterday which i am not really unhappy about as its all still well in control. Cold not suiting me for first time, normally I love winters but this year not particularly.

Hi Pavlos,

Thank you, I'm aiming for 13st that's 182lbs approx 82.5kg all according to google.

I haven't been 13st (or the 14st 4lbs) since I was about 35yrs old I'm 62 now. Highest ever was briefly 16st 8lbs (105.2kg) when diagnosed with pre.

I have an app on my phone 'Diabetes Diary' and have the 'fasting vs weight' on a graph and the fasting is following the weight loss perfectly as though they are tied together.

I have found the weight loss very easy, a bit scary really, using this LCHF diet and still enjoying the food.

Do you plan to lose more?
Neil
Ps enjoyed your photos.

I'm fine with covering them with chocolate, but not so sure about the taking them part. I'm kind of attached to mine and like to keep them handy! lol

@Nuthead said he was trying to be good but he won't be able to resist this post ;-). Will make extra charity donation if he does.

Must be the calming relaxing effect.....

Interesting one this morning. I had a very naughty meal in my local Little Chef last night (Hunter's chicken + chips etc.). 2 hour pp was 8.9 so I then took myself onto the treadmill for 45 mins of hard walking before I went to bed.
Fasting this morning back to 4.9 so I think there's a lesson there on how to cope with naughtiness !

Hello Jan, hope you managed to get some quality sleep last night.

Ginger and turmeric both are fantastic as anti inflammatorys for achey bits.
Thanks @Rose28. I'll look into it. I DO like ginger, bought some ginger root (instead of crystalised)last week to use in baking but only got the flours today - soya & quinoa - didn't think the taste would go wth coconut one

Well done on the weight loss. Mine seems stuck at the mo but I'll stick wth it.
