Good morning Jan

I hope you were able to get some sleep in the end last night.

Pavlos
Thanks Pavlos. Eventually but woke at 3:33 then 5:55.... Getting my head back down again (6:10) now cos luckily I don't need to go out to work. (This silver lining came from the cloud of losing my brother 2 yrs ago)
Have a good day and hope you're feeling better soon
Jan

7.8 at 4.30 pm pre dinner and that was after a bacon and lamb chop lunch

NOT happy with that AT ALL so off i went on a 25 minute walk. Yet again, it proves what's right for me. Retest on return home and straight down to 5.4.

Amazing to me how i can be that high (comparitively at least) and then come straight back down

Morning all in the NH :)

4.7 @ 4.30 this morning, off to drop daughter to Airport for her flight to Washington then straight to work.

Have a good day all.

Cadbury take them and they cover them with chocolate.....:-)
I'm fine with covering them with chocolate, but not so sure about the taking them part. I'm kind of attached to mine and like to keep them handy! :-) lol

Phone call from surgery yesterday calling me in to see my GP next week to discuss my ultrasound results...

7.8 this morning at 5.35am. Was up all night with sickness and diahorea. Not sure what I have eaten but I can't keep anything inside. Been drinking lots of water so hopefully it will leave my system shortly. I've not tested much today because I've not really eaten. For the first time in ages I long for toast with butter, but I've resisted. Wa 5.2 before dinner which was a little bit of scrambled egg...niece I am up late as my stomach is doing washing up.mlol
something on your nuts ? ;). Keep smiling.

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly Kezzer.
Hope you feel better real soon... Please let us know how you're getting on x

Hope you are soon feeling better. I came to bed before 10 and it's now 1am and still can't sleep :-( bunions, calves and hands aching despite painkillers so I got up, chunk of cheese and some yoghurt despite fancying toast and butter too. Pain gel on all achy bits, cup of tea (soya milk) and I'm all set to try again.
Take care, get well soon and hopefully some zzzz's for both of us. Nite, Jan

Hello Jan, hope you managed to get some quality sleep last night.

Ginger and turmeric both are fantastic as anti inflammatorys for achey bits.

Hiya everyone, not posted for a few days as I've felt pretty down in the dumps, mainly due to the anniversary of my dads passing & trying still to get my head round been Diabetic. It's 2.5 months since I was diagnosed but I feel like it's just now really dawned on me. Guess the whole lifestyle change etc has started to kick in!! :-(

My GL levels for the past few days have been the same, mid to high teens with a few in the low 20's, first readings in the morning.

Got appointment with my DSN tomorrow, not looking forward to it after last months visit!! (Ambulance was called to the surgery because of my GL levels, Ketones, rapid heartbeat & high BP - 9 days spent in hospital!!!) :-(

So fingers crossed for me please that all will be OK & I can report back to you with positive news & hopefully not from a hospital bed!!! :-/

Hope you all are well & taking good care of yourselves. :)
Really didn't want to "like" louleelous - but wanted to acknowledge your post and say good luck for today. I'm with you on the sadness of losing dad, ten years for me now and never any easier at the anniversaries and Christmas, kezza posted something the other that struck a chord and I was in floods. Just be kind to yourself x

6 today. I've reduced my Metformin in evening so that may be why. Or too much lamb at dinner. Or the fact I was up till 1am trying to calm junior down as his mates have gone into occupation in a building on uni campus over fee increases and he is trying to liaise with them, press, uni etc. he's very politically active but of such a nervous disposition he'd be better suited to another interest. Kids. Worry .

Again kezza, don't really "like" but want to flag up my wishes that you recover soon! Dreaded bugs around it seems

6.4 on this dull morning. At least I remembered to test this morning - I don't usually.

5.1 for me at 4.30 am when once again I was wide awake and throwing the covers off! Ended up putting gentle music on my earphones and started dozing just before 6 am then 7am alarm. Yesterday I read up on the potassium deficiency as suggested, could be a cause. Checked some multi vitamins I have in and no gluten, wheat sucrose.....so have started on those for now, I also checked appointments online at 5am and managed one with my long time favourite gp who I've not seen in over 2 years, next Thursday to get his view on it all
When getting up at 7am I was 5.3 so pleased no huge rise.....oh, I went to bed on 4.2 last night, lowest bedtime to date

Morning cold ethyl! Yesterday ran away with me.....I'm staying in today so I will be messaging you shortly, going to grab a coffee first to indulge in while typing ; )

This has started to be good day for me......

5.0 Bedtime 1 point lower than usual:hilarious:

4.8 Fasting Pre breakfast :p again lower than usual

Hit a magical 14st 4lbs today that's an even 200lbs. When diagnosed 22 Sept 14. I was 15st 8lbs (lost a stone the previous year with Pre Diabetes) probably will hover around this for a while but very pleased, about 2lbs per week so far. LC moderate Fat, a lot more than I ever used to have.

Thanks for the inspiration on here.............
